Three years ago, she was birthed upon the Nouvelle Burlesque Stage as "The Muse"... a spirit sprung from a world of endless delightful dreams, calling in great wonders, inspiring sensuous exploration and rousing deep desires. She answers your deep question easily, births creativity, and then in the night steals away with your heart...that seems to sum it up.
The alias of a stage name instantly created a dual life - modern dancer by day burlesque dancer by night. Somehow with the split, a soul emerged, combining both arts into once assemblance of what a dear friend calls "Modesque". A dreamer by nature, she wanted to see this blending form a brilliance onstage, setting a new tone for the teasing arts.
In 2006, she formed a group, lovingly called Sweet Tease, rousing four truly talented academically trained performers, and together, brought to life this group, this vision. In 2009, after a year of rehearsals they put together our first production LORE, a two hour production whose 17 pieces were woven into one long myth/tale/fable about a man turning pan, meeting powerful oracles along the way. The show was driven by sheer lunacy and sleepless nights mixed with vaudevillian miming, puppetry, enormous set pieces (thrones, a giant magical gateway, jugs of poison, a mermaid ocean), and modern dance influenced, complex, witty, crafted dancing.
As a solo artist and contributor she has the passionate knack for four things- solving the riddle of complicated, extravagant, wild productions and designing stage costumes...choreographing prop oriented/character driven crowd pleasers...marketing and coordinating...and making break away, bedazzling, intricate, rich and lovely costumes.
To Note: The Muse is fearless in front of a crowd, will (and has) danced anywhere- on a rope, on a table, on stones, in a river, while tossing fans, on a multitude of chairs, with fabric, in fabric, while spitting water, in water, with only body paint...AND WITH SCISSORS!!
She will be visiting local cabaret houses to look for work and has pieces up and ready to perform - needing only the word--"lights".

My work centers on magic, archtype, myth and sensuality. Pieces are character driven, costumed to the hilt, and contain mastery of odd props, and fabulous music.
